Back to London

We went by train to London , leaving from East Midlands Parkway Station ( as there was work being carried out in Nottingham) - all good, once again we enjoyed the relaxed trip and arrived in St Pancreas 2 hours later. A small glitch when we could not find our reserved car, however a phone call and 15 minutes later car arrived and we were delivered to the Euston Thistle again. After our accommodation for the past three days, the Thistle seems so salubrious  - we were in "heaven".
Guess where we have been today.......

Yes...Harrods and Peter actually came and was surprised by the store - mostly he kept on saying "bloody hell".
As many people know, Harrods is an experience not to be missed, although I can remember little differences to when I was last there ( 30+ years). It is still lovely, although prices are ridiculous .
Peter and I thought we might pick up something new - this bedroom suite?... Would it fit in the house - probably but.....£7500 just for one side table, so we thought - perhaps next time...took some consideration though, as they were offering free global delivery for anything purchased today.
We then thought we would visit the Pet Kingdom. Thought we might find something for Moët - could just see him in this lovely little bed - £1600- think you have room for this Val?
We could have purchased a mini Dachshund for £1500 or a Syrian or Miniature Russian or Chinese Hampster for only £15 - peter reckons the mini Russian looked like something the cat could easily eat .
They also do pet day spa - dog shampoo, meal and a walk - only £120 per day - bargain!
Well after "mooching" around for a few hours, Irene left with a bag she can use on the cruise for her bingo dobbers, iPad and kindle ( would have loved a few other things), we decided to walk into London central through. Knightsbridge - where we came across Peters car... Only by appointment in this store - Mclaren - just lovely.
After wandering through Green Park, past the palace again, up the Strand we then decided to come back to the hotel- another nice day wandering the streets of one of the best cities in the world.
